JOB SUMMARY:
Provides centralized location for inputting, recording, updating and housing electronic and paper records associated with assigned work group. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Responsibilities:- Greets and directs visitors to the proper location within the department.
- Responds to telephone inquiries and/or routes to appropriate person.
- Type correspondence, letters and reports for the department.
- Processes reports for federal, state and local agencies; prepares required reports and distributes appropriate person or agencies.
- Maintains employees files as required.
- Notarizes documents for department and outside agencies, as needed.
- Collects monies and balances collections daily.
- Responds to verbal and written requests for information and/or documents from Judges, courts and attorneys.
- Assists co-workers with duties.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management uring a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/ GED
- One (1) Year job related experience
- Good computer and typing skills (minimum 35 WPM); good verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, elected officials. Good organizational skills; multi-tasking and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal courteously with the public, other employees, and elected officials; ability to prioritize own work.
- Ability to work with coworkers as part of team to manage complex cases when necessary.
- Must possess a valid Texas driver's license
SALARY RANGE: $18.00 hourly
