Controls Engineer

Job DescriptionControls EngineerAn expanding chemical company is seeking a Controls Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain automation and control systems. This role offers an excellent salary, bonus opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain plant automation and control systems, including electrical, PLC, DCS, pneumatic circuits, and networking components.Ensure all control systems comply with regulatory standards such as SIL/LOPA assessments.Maintain and create electrical and instrumentation drawings, including motor elementaries and instrument loop sheets.Assist the maintenance team with scheduled tasks, breakdowns, and emergency work orders.Manage and update PLC documentation, maintaining archives of PLC programs and machine control drawings.Train and mentor technicians and technical staff on control system strategies and installations.Collaborate on IT systems and infrastructure development with internal teams and external vendors.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.3+ years of experience in Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation in a chemical manufacturing environment.Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley and Rockwell Automation controls.Strong knowledge of IT and OT network communication protocols.Familiarity with ICS cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.Understanding of relevant PSM and DHS regulatory requirements.Knowledge of regulatory compliance within ICS environments.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship.Why Join Us?Opportunity to work in an expanding chemical company.Competitive salary, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits.Relocation package available.Immediate hire for qualified candidates!
