Office Assistant

Handle incoming calls and welcome clients.
Examine and verify details in preliminary reports/title commitments, resolving title issues by researching discrepancies, obtaining lien releases, and clearing other encumbrances.
Assign tasks to the Central Processing Unit (CSD - CPU), such as handling payoffs, HOA, and utility demands listed in preliminary reports/title commitments or Seller/Borrower Information Sheets.
Retrieve and review tax rolls from the assessor for accuracy and potential assessments or liens.
Assist in providing fee and charge estimates.
Schedule appointments and prepare documents for signing, both in-office and off-site.
Help customers with document signing in the office, as directed by the Escrow Officer or Branch Manager.
Upload documents to the correct categories in the electronic filing system.
Record all communications related to each file to keep the team updated on its status.
Compile and submit completed Policy Write Up Instructions to the Title Department, ensuring all documents to be recorded are accurate and complete.
Prepare funding packages, provide conditions, and process fund receipts.
Work scheduled office hours, Monday through Friday, with the ability to work overtime as needed.
Maintain dependable, reliable, and punctual attendance, including attending after-hour company events if required.
Pay range: $25-$28/hour

1-3 years of customer service/client facing experience in an administrative capacity
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Escrow experience or title insurance experience
