Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Paralegal at The Weaver Law Firm. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for tasks such as legal document preparation, document review, legal research, drafting pleadings, and motions to support the attorneys in complex litigation cases.
Qualifications
- Legal Document Preparation, Document Review, and Legal Research skills
- Experience in drafting legal pleadings and motions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Paralegal certification or relevant degree
- Proficiency in legal software and databases

(4) Have 3 or more years experience in a litigation law firm as a paralegal.

We are a Houston Tanglewood/Galleria area law firm seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal. As a civil litigation law firm, we are focused on real estate, construction and business disputes.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to: calendaring and scheduling; professional client interaction; review incoming mail to monitor for events and deadlines; continuously update attorneys on status of pending matters; use Microsoft Word proficiently. Depending on experience, the legal assistant may prepare correspondence, discovery, answers to lawsuits, motions, notices, deeds and other real estate documents.

Other duties include:
Phone operations
E-filing and e-recording
Handling mail and delivery services
Prepare mail/send/sort incoming mail
Prepare civil process requests
File real property documents
Prepare and file certificates of formation
Draft demand letters
Set hearings/submission
Draft notice of hearings and submission
Coordinate with process server/clerk
Prepare and send attorney engagement agreements
Draft letters of representation
Communicate with clients and court staff
