Administrative Specialist III –

Location: New Castle, Delaware
Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8am to 4:00pm
Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00

General Description:
This position will provide the full range of administrative support to the Executive Programs and Grant Administration Unit, specifically Statewide Opioid Response grant-funded teams. Must be Excellent in Microsoft Office Suite, Word and Excel.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions as necessary.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, entering information into database
  • Prepare presentation design, creation & editing
  • Research, analysis and coordinate operations, components of programs.
  • Research mailbox administration for the divisions Opioid Response Team, list-serv management providing administrative support to and “staffing” SOR grant.
  • Assist with staff onboarding for the development / management of unit standard operating procedures.
  • Sorts, files and retrieves documents alphabetically, numerically, chronologically or by other categories.
  • Operates a variety of office machines such as typewriter, calculator, word processor and computer/data entry terminal.
  • Records information on manual/computerized records, logs, schedules, etc., and update office records with current information.
  • Types correspondence, various forms, statistical reports and similar materials.
  • Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications / Experience:
Advanced or Expert skill level in all Microsoft Office Suites which include – Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, Teams.
Word Processing knowledge
Composing correspondence
Data entry, proper formatting, merging, creating and use of formulas for spreadsheets.
File management

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one (1) year of college and three (3) years of clerical experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
