My client is a well known personal care manufacturer known for a wide range of products designed for personal hygiene, grooming, and wellness, including items such as skincare, haircare, cosmetics, and body care products.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Scheduling:
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure timely and efficient product manufacturing. Coordinate production timelines and resources to meet customer demands while minimizing downtime and inefficiencies.
Team Management:
Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of production workers, technicians, and operators. Conduct regular training and performance reviews to ensure staff are highly skilled, engaged, and compliant with safety and quality standards. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting high levels of morale and productivity.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure products meet all regulatory standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements. Monitor production lines for quality defects and implement corrective actions when necessary. Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant industry regulations (e.g., FDA, OSHA).
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production operations. Identify bottlenecks or production issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Equipment & Maintenance Management:
Ensure all production equipment is maintained, calibrated, and functioning at peak performance. Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule regular preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise.
Health & Safety:
Promote a culture of safety within the production environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Conduct safety training and audits to minimize workplace accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Inventory & Resource Management:
Manage raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory to ensure a smooth production flow and avoid delays. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and avoid stockouts.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and present regular production reports, including KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as production efficiency, downtime, and quality metrics. Maintain accurate production records, including shift reports, material usage, and equipment maintenance logs.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
5+ years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the personal care, cosmetics, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and health & safety regulations (e.g., GMP, OSHA, FDA). Proven experience managing teams and driving performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze and solve complex production problems. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.). Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
