Job Description
The Key Responsibilities for the Asst Plant Manager are:
Operational Support:
Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring production schedules are met while adhering to safety and quality standards. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and food safety standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality production practices. Team Leadership:
Supervise plant staff, including training, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Production Management:
Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Inventory Control:
Assist in managing inventory levels, including raw materials and finished products, ensuring adequate supply while minimizing waste. Safety Protocols:
Promote and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. A Successful Asst Plant Manager Candidate in Los Angeles will have:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business Management, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in food manufacturing or processing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Knowledge of USDA regulations and food safety standards. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.
