A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its growing Privacy Litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney with a strong litigation background to work on complex privacy matters. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage cases from inception through trial preparation, particularly in privacy-related disputes. This role requires excellent legal research and writing skills and an eagerness to work with a dynamic and collaborative team.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of privacy litigation cases, from research and discovery to trial preparation and settlement.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, discovery requests, and memoranda.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on federal, state, and international privacy laws.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide legal support in high-stakes cases.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and developments in privacy law.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by taking an active role in developing the practice area.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on privacy or related areas.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing case work-ups, including pretrial motions, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Ability to navigate complex subject matter and handle multiple priorities.
  • Active and relevant bar admission in the jurisdiction where the firm operates.
  • Motivated self-starter with a collaborative mindset.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and drafting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international privacy regulations.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and communicate them clearly.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
