WORK SCHEDULE 100% FTE Monday – Friday; Core hours for UW Medicine IT Services are 7:00 – 4:00 (PST) Day Shift DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Hybrid opportunity; primarily remote but requires occasional trips to Seattle-area to solve issues Values-based work environment Active departmental Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee 15 days of vacation your first year – Also, 12 days of sick time, 1 personal holiday, and 11 paid holidays each year 100% matching, 100% immediately vesting 403(b) PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborating with and providing guidance to project teams in medium to large scale testing tools, strategies, methodologies, and processes Guide medium to large scale projects through the testing life cycle Work closely with users, stakeholders, and project teams to analyze business processes and data Utilize user requirements and functional specifications to drive testing decisions Plan and guide all phases of testing for medium to large scale projects Assist business stakeholders and project teams to deliver on time and high-quality applications and systems Providing training to more junior team members on work techniques, best practices, and operational expertise REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience 4+ years’ experience must include the below Certified in at least one system testing practice (CSV, ISTQB or similar) 2+ years of experience in testing consulting, coaching, and formal mentorship for technology professionals 2+ years of experience guiding the development, documentation, coordination, and maintenance of test processes, standards, templates, and guidelines, including 1+ years of experience serving in a large-scale application testing analyst role Demonstrated ability to implement test process improvement effort and enforce testing standards, policies, and procedures Experience working with one or more test management tools (e.g. HP ALM) Intermediate application testing experience working in a multi-tiered client server environment Intermediate testing experience within a vendor-packaged software environment Demonstrated ability to facilitate and participate in cross-functional, cross organizational work groups to implement clinical or business information systems Demonstrated interpersonal skills including communication, facilitation, and effective meeting management along with strong verbal and written skills Experience with MS Office tools: Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook ABOUT UW MEDICINE – WHERE YOUR IMPACT GOES FURTHER UW Medicine is Washington’s only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
