Capture Director

ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Capture Director, with demonstrated experience leading capture efforts for NOAA customers within our Space Operating Group.
This position will report to the Vice President of Business Development. The ideal candidate will have proven track record leading successful > $100M captures across the Space Operating Group portfolio of customers.
The position is remote, but periodic travel to ASRC Federal locations will be required to conduct key in-person capture and proposal activities. In addition, candidates must be willing to travel frequently to client sites, customer meetings, as well as ASRC Federal locations specific to assigned capture opportunities. Travel up to 50%.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for qualifying and capturing major (>$100M) government acquisitions and managing multiple IDIQ Task Order Vehicles and TO Pursuits. Candidates will be part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on "Driving to Win" by melding business, management, technical and cost elements for winning proposals. Efforts include development and implementation of the win strategy, beginning with pre-Request for Proposal activities and continuing through written/oral proposal development, negotiations, award, and transition. This individual will work with other internal leaders and functional teams to develop and lead capture efforts across the NASA, NOAA and National Security Space markets. This individual will employ best practices to lead Capture related activities from Qualify through Proposal Submit stage and will have a proven record of success in the management of multiple concurrent capture projects throughout the entire lifecycle from qualification to award.
Key Responsibilities:
The Capture Manager’s primary responsibility is to successfully lead and own applicable steps in the business development lifecycle to incrementally improve win probability and position the organization to craft a compelling technical and pricing solution while identifying and managing risk. This position requires a unique blend of business development, capture management, project management and critical thinking skills.
Candidates must demonstrate a successful record of business development, capture management, industry engagement, strategy development, strategic teaming, competitive intelligence, and working in a collaborative and diverse environment.
- Develop and execute the overall capture plan that includes technical, management, past performance, and pricing strategies and win themes.
- Actively participate and/or lead the solution development and have the ability and understanding of the details to present any element of the opportunity to customers or leadership.
- Develop detailed and thorough briefing materials and present at gate reviews to senior leadership team.
- Provide leadership and oversight during proposal development phase.
- Lead post Color Team recovery efforts and strategy discussions.
- Interact with all levels of the organization and stay current on ASRC Federal capabilities.
- Develop detailed and accurate B&P estimates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience leading strategic Captures or Master’s degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Existing NOAA customer relationships.
- Experienced with a multitude of Capture contract types and pricing strategies to include Completion, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Performance based, Cost Plus (CP), and Time & Materials (T&M).
- Proven ability to derive strategic solutions and win themes against vaguely defined requirements.
- Success in leading multiple captures simultaneously at various stages of the opportunity lifecycle.
- Aptitude to perform at high levels in a fast paced, matrixed environment with minimal or no supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Flexible to work and lead teams through remote, in-office, or in a classified environment based on opportunity requirements and business need.
- Must have US Citizenship.
- Current Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain a security clearance preferred.
- Role requires frequent travel to client sites, customer meetings, as well as ASRC Federal HQ Reston, VA.
