A law firm is currently seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney for its Minneapolis location. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience with patents and related complex technology litigation. A technical degree (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science/engineering, chemistry, biology, biomedical engineering) is strongly preferred, along with significant experience handling substantive patent issues. The candidate must have the ability to learn underlying technology, superior written and oral communication skills, a desire for teamwork, and excellent academic credentials. The Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney will be a key member of the firm's legal team, specializing in handling complex technology litigation with a focus on patents.
Duties:
- Handle complex technology litigation with a focus on patents.
- Address substantive patent issues related to various technical fields.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on intellectual property matters.
- Draft and file legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals.
- Provide legal counsel on patent-related disputes.
- Work closely with technology experts to understand underlying technologies.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from a reputable law school.
- Active Bar membership in the state of Minnesota.
- 2+ years of experience with patents and related complex technology litigation.
- Technical degree (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science/engineering, chemistry, biology, biomedical engineering) strongly preferred.
- Significant experience handling substantive patent issues.
- Ability to learn underlying technology.
