Overview
The American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) is a not-for-profit membership organization comprised of 63 Member Boards dedicated to strengthening the veterinary regulatory community. We are committed to supporting and advancing the regulation of veterinary medicine and providing comprehensive information and services to enhance the efficiency of veterinary regulation.
The Marketing & Communications Intern will assist in the development, editing and communication campaigns to reach members of the association and customers. This individual will assist with the coordination and implementation of multi-media marketing and communications to develop awareness, inform, encourage stakeholder engagement and promote a positive organizational image.
Type of employment: Internship, December 16th – January 2025, 10-20 hours per week with some flexibility

Responsibilities
Duties include:
- Edit drafts to be sent out to stakeholder groups, checking for grammar, messaging and tone
- Assist in maintaining a content calendar to track upcoming and ongoing campaigns
- Ensure that all graphics and communications adhere to the brand guidelines
- Refresh PowerPoint Presentations, by inserting graphics and organizing information in an easily readable format
- Utilize a variety of channels to update and deliver communications to stakeholder groups, including, Facebook, email communication, and the website (Wordpress)
- Comfortable working in a team as well as independently
Qualifications
- Ability to edit communications for grammar, messaging and tone
- Familiarity with Word and PowerPoint
- Detail orientated and organized, adept at updating and following the communications calendar so that messaging goes out at the right time to the right groups
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Canva and Microsoft Planner
