Job Title: Registered Nurse - Maternal Child Health Job Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Critical Care Job Duration: 12 months Shift: Day - 12x3 - 11 AM to 11 PM - 36 Hours per week Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Experience: 1-year recent full-time equivalent experience within the last 3 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Experience in Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Must-Have: ACLS Certification Job Description: - Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill newborns in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. - Utilize advanced nursing skills in the management and monitoring of neonates requiring intensive medical care. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to implement care plans and improve patient outcomes. - Demonstrate proficiency in performing and interpreting neonatal assessments. - Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products following hospital protocols and guidelines. - Educate and support families on infant care needs and medical procedures. - Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities and interventions. - Comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to neonatal nursing care. - Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance nursing practice.
