Job Title: Registered Nurse - Maternal Child Health (MCH) Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery - Critical Need Job Duration: 12 months Shift: 12 hours, 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1-year recent, full-time equivalent experience within the last 3 years License: Registered Nurse License in the state where care is provided Certifications: Basic Life Support, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program Must-Have: ACLS Job Description: - Provide comprehensive care to pregnant women, newborns, and families during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care in a labor and delivery setting. - Monitor maternal and fetal health during the labor and delivery process and respond to any changes or emergencies. - Administer medications and assist in various procedures as required in the labor and delivery unit. - Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience. - Document patient care accurately and promptly in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. - Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in maternal and child health care practices. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field. - Five or more years of recent experience in labor and delivery within the last two years. - One year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years. - High Risk OB experience is preferred.
