Administrator, School of Leadership and Education Sciences Department Description: Rooted in social justice, led by compassion, inspired by curiosity, driven by a shared vision. Detailed Description: This is a full-time, temporary, benefit-based position with an anticipated end date of October 31, 2027. The appointment is renewable at the discretion of the University and dependent upon performance and continued funding. This role involves managing the intake process for new clients, coordinating their initial assessments, and ensuring a smooth transition into ongoing care. The Intake Coordinator will also maintain a small caseload of clients, providing direct clinical support while overseeing intake activities. The ideal candidate will be a registered associate (AMFT, APCC, ACSW) with a strong interest in working with veterans or their families. Duties and Responsibilities: Client Intake: Manage the intake process for new clients, including conducting initial assessments, gathering necessary documentation, and coordinating the scheduling of assessments and intake appointments. Case Coordination: Facilitate the transition of clients into appropriate services, including coordinating with clinical staff to ensure timely and effective service delivery. Provide clients with information about available services and resources. Direct Clinical Support: Maintain a small caseload of clients, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, conducting assessments, and addressing clients' mental health needs as part of your clinical responsibilities. Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of intake activities, client interactions, and treatment plans in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients and their families. Provide empathetic and clear communication, addressing any questions or concerns they may have about the intake process or services offered. Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to streamline the intake process and ensure a smooth flow of information between departments. Participate in team meetings and case discussions as needed. Veteran-Specific Support: Apply knowledge and experience related to veteran-specific issues to provide tailored support during the intake process. Stay informed about the unique needs and challenges faced by veterans and their families. Crisis Management: Assist with managing any crises that arise during the intake process, including conducting risk assessments and providing appropriate interventions or referrals. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in intake coordination and telemental health. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Current registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, including direct case management responsibilities. Experience working with veterans is preferred. Certification or documented proficiency in one or more of the following EBP’s: PE, CBT and CPT is required. Preferred Qualifications: Veteran-Specific Expertise Preferred: Apply knowledge and experience related to veteran-specific issues to provide tailored support and interventions. Stay informed about the unique challenges faced by veterans and their families. Performance Expectations - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in telemental health platforms and a solid understanding of veteran-specific needs. Empathetic, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality care. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge in DSM-V-TR diagnoses. Knowledge of evidence-based practice, including targeted, evidence-based treatment modalities and measurement-based care. Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment.
