Robert Half is hiring! We are in search of a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. The role primarily involves troubleshooting software and hardware issues, implementing policies, plugins, alerts, ticketing, scripting, and more using Connectwise Automate & Control or a competing RMM service. You will also be responsible for deployment and configuration of Windows OS & O365 products.


Responsibilities:

• Implement policies, plugins, alerts, ticketing, scripting, etc. using Connectwise Automate & Control or a similar RMM service.

• Troubleshoot various software and hardware issues to ensure smooth operation.

• Deploy and configure Windows OS & O365 products to meet organizational needs.

• Work with Bitdefender GravityZone, VMware systems, or Windows Hyper-V as required.

• Utilize Veeam Backup solutions for data protection and recovery.

• Manage domains and websites as per business requirements.

• Administer O365, Unifi Network, Server 2016 or newer, including AD & GPO management.

• Work with Apple Business Manager, VOIP management and hardware, Xerox management, AS400, and Sage X3 as per organizational needs.

• Utilize your skills in Active Directory to manage network resources.

• Proven experience in an IT hardware role, specifically as a Desktop Support Analyst or similar.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing and troubleshooting Active Directory.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components, including CPUs, motherboards, and hard drives.
• Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of desktop systems.
• Familiarity with various operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and rectify hardware-related issues.
• Understanding of network configurations and common issues related to connectivity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff to explain hardware issues and provide guidance.
• Exceptional time management skills to prioritize and resolve multiple support tickets concurrently.
• Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
• Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest hardware technologies and industry trends.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ are preferred.
• Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment as needed.
