Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. We are seeking a Robot Validation Engineer experienced in integration and validation of complex electromechanical systems. This person will be pivotal in integration and debugging of the full robotic system and subsystems. Responsibilities: Assume a pivotal role in commissioning, validating, and troubleshooting the robot Maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, test procedures, and test results Understanding of how different subsystems (Controls, Electrical, Software, Mechanical) interact, and where they commonly have issues Implement corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence Conduct thorough testing and validation of repairs to ensure functionality and reliability Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve integration issues Provide comprehensive training and technical support to fellow team members Requirements: Degree in electrical, mechanical, controls, or electromechanical systems 3 years of experience in electromechanical debugging, testing, and repair Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) Strong understanding of electromechanical systems driven by software Familiarity with torque tools and mechanical assembly best practices Familiarity with Linux and version control systems (e.g., Git) Bonus Qualifications: Experience with CATIA V6 Experience with designing and executing test plans for real robots Ability to code in C++ and/or Python Ability to write and execute scripts for automated testing and validation Understanding of AI systems and how they are implemented
