Description

YWCA Dayton, a 24 hours organization dedicated to the empowerment of women and the elimination of racism, seeks an energetic, dedicated person to be an integral part of our team. The DV Coordinated Entry Specialist reports to the Housing Manager and is responsible for connecting eligible clients to Montgomery County's Coordinated Entry System. This person supports the vision, mission and values of YWCA Dayton.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Serve as YWCA Dayton's Coordinated Entry contact for clients and partners.

•Complete Montgomery County's Front Door Assessment with referred shelter and outreach clients within the appropriate timeline.

•Connect clients to appropriate housing programs and link clients to other community resources.

•Coordinate transfer meetings with housing program staff and/or community partners when clients are accepted into a housing program.

•Engage clients and other appropriate agency staff regularly providing status updates while clients are on the coordinated entry waitlists.

•Complete timely program reports.

•Maintain timely, accurate and on-going documentation in individual client files via electronic record-keeping software, paper charts, and reports following contract requirements, agency and department policies and procedures.

•Attend agency and department meetings as well as required trainings.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:•Active driver's license and clean driving record.•Understanding of racial equity and social justice issues and a demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of those we serve.•Responsive to the needs and requests of clients, residents, staff and Board of Directors with a willingness to collaborate and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.•Ability to navigate with ease through computer programs (Excel, Word, Adobe, etc.).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: ••bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; or 2-3 years of experience in nonprofit or social service administrative environment.•Experience in housing and domestic violence services preferred.
