Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Position / Specialty: FH - LDRP

Years of experience REQ: 3 years - LDRP and OR/Scrub experience- 3 years experience preferred
First-timers accepted: (Y/N) Yes - must be experienced in LDRP including triage, OR, scrub
Weekend REQ: Yes - every third
Certs REQ: AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS, BCLS, FHM and NRP. While AWHONN Advanced is preferred
Is on-call REQ? (Y/N) What is the req? N
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes - Floating within service line, floating between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, & Wildwood facilities as needed.
Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N) Y
Locals accepted: (Y/N) No local travelers 50 miles or less
Pending License accepted: (Y/N) No
RTO Restrictions: Greater than 7 days will require Management approval (with the exception of holidays)

Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Care Required: Telemetry Interpretation
Fetal Monitoring Required: Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
IV therapy/Phlebotomy Required: Administration of blood & blood products, Drawing Venous Blood, Start & maintain peripheral IV, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring
Medication and Administration Required: Anticonvulsants, Antihypertensives, Magnesium, Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Prostaglandins, Terbutaline
Labor and Delivery Management Required: Amnioinfusion, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Circulate for C-section, Forceps/vacuum extraction, Hemorrhage/shock, Recover C-Section, Scrub for C-Section, Sterile vaginal exam
Neonatal Care in Delivery Room Required: APGAR scores, Baby Nurse (Baby Catcher), Collect cord samples, ID/Security Banding, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation
Newborn Care Required: Assist with Circumcision/Assess site post-op, Car Seat Education, Cord Care, Discharge teaching to parents, Infant Identification, Metabolic Screen, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Newborn Assessment, Newborn hypoglycemia, Phototherapy, Teach Circumcision care to parents

Pain Management Required: Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide, Pain assessment & management
Postpartum Care and Procedures Required: Breastfeeding Support/lactation support, Episiotomy/Incisional Care, Foley Catheter insertion, Fundus/lochia/perineum care, Wound Assessment and Care
