Discover your exciting role The Senior Mechanical Engineer collaborates within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to develop comprehensive construction documentation for systems including HVAC (wet/dry), plumbing, controls, and related mechanical systems. Explore your tasks and responsibilities Performs engineering tasks for the design of utilities and HVAC (wet/dry) systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional facilities Prepares the mechanical engineering calculations in support of HVAC systems design including heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water hydraulics, static pressure calculations, equipment sizing and selection Coordination with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines' inputs are incorporated Support project on-site execution and make decisions to support projects and act as technical consultant Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise Assists in developing studies and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by discipline team Works will include close coordination with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices Assists in the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systems Autodesk Building Systems Software Consulting engineering experience preferred Experience working within a team environment Experience in the quality control review process Experience contributing to continuous improvement processes Other duties as assigned Show your expertise Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required 4 years of experience Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred Nation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Record preferred Advanced Technology experience preferred Good time management skills, strong work ethic and attention to details Individual must possess strong communication and organizational skills Strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, department leads, and client representatives Works to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships both internal and external Energetic and self-motivated Non-Solicitation We are not currently accepting third-party agency candidates for this position.
