The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seekinga talented and experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MBSE principles, extensive knowledge of SysML and UML, and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in applying MBSE methodologies. A Secret Clearance is required for this role. Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey. Duties and Responsibilities: MBSE Expertise: Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and practices to define, design, and document complex systems and architectures using SysML and UML. Systems Modeling: Develop, maintain, and update system models that capture system requirements, behaviors, and interactions, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and consistent. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with system models. Architecture Development: Create and maintain system architecture models, ensuring they meet project objectives, standards, and performance requirements. Verification and Validation: Use MBSE to support system verification and validation efforts, including test planning, test case development, and test execution. Documentation: Generate clear and concise system documentation, including system design, interface specifications, and system integration plans. Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of system models and engineering artifacts. Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and team members on MBSE principles and tools. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Proficiency in SysML and UML for system modeling and documentation. Active Secret Clearance is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality engineering artifacts. Familiarity with systems engineering processes and methodologies. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or similar. Familiarity with DoDAF, UPDM, or related architecture frameworks. Knowledge of system simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink). Understanding of software development and integration processes. Certification in MBSE or related field is a plus.
