As a Digital Product Owner at DaVita, you will be responsible for the full scope of software development life cycle activities for DaVita's digital patient platforms. These digital tools are key to enhancing the care we provide to our patients both in-clinic and at home. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close partnership with senior leaders across various departments, including Product, Business, Architecture, Marketing, and Support.

Your focus will be on both execution and strategy-driving features through the development process while also taking ownership of the discovery process to ensure solutions are aligned with business and user needs. You will play a critical role in turning high-level, ambiguous ideas into actionable plans and strategic product features.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Roadmap execution and backlog management
    • Collaborate with product leadership to execute the product roadmap, aligning with business goals and stakeholder expectations
    • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog by balancing business value, stakeholder input, and resource availability, ensuring the development team focuses on high-priority features
  • Feature ideation, development and planning
    • Vet and advance feature ideas in partnership with stakeholders, users, and product leadership, ensuring they are informed by data, user feedback, and business goals
    • Work with design, research, and development teams to validate and refine feature concepts during discovery, translating them into actionable user stories and requirements
    • Create clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature requirements to guide the development team through execution
    • Collaborate closely with the development team to refine, plan, develop, test, and release new capabilities, ensuring efficient delivery
    • Proactively identify and mitigate blockers, addressing issues swiftly to keep the team on track
    • Monitor post-launch success, gathering user feedback, tracking performance metrics, and analyzing data insights to measure impact and guide future development
  • Stakeholder collaboration and user-centric focus
    • Engage with key stakeholders across clinical, field operations, legal, and go-to-market teams to ensure alignment on product priorities, scope, and strategic goals
    • Support regular touchpoints with stakeholders to maintain open lines of communication, balancing expectations and ensuring product features meet both business and user needs
    • Understand the patient experience beyond the product to ensure feature development addresses real-world challenges and improves patient outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and skills we're looking for you to bring to the role:

  • 3+ years as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Consultant or similar experience on application development projects
  • A passion for both strategic and tactical elements of product development
  • Experience in writing user requirements, use cases, functional specifications, test plans etc.
  • Ability to translate complex problems into easily understood concepts
  • Outstanding communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple small- to large-scale projects concurrently
  • A team-first attitude and can closely collaborate with cross-functional teams

$75,200.00-$110,400.00 / year
