Manufacturing Project Engineer

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer for a role near Nashville, TN. T he ideal candidate will have a strong experience in manufacturing or plant operations, coupled with extensive experience in project management and implementing plant initiatives This is a full-time position that will be working on capital projects and current production. Responsibility: · Project Management: Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. · Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality within the plant. · Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of plant equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency. · Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects and plant operations comply with safety regulations and standards. · Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to support plant initiatives and resolve operational issues. · Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project plans, progress, and outcomes, and prepare detailed reports for management. · Training and Development: Provide training and support to plant personnel on new processes and equipment. Qualifications: · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). · Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or plant engineering role, with a proven track record in project management. · Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. · Experience with continuous improvement activities · Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
