Job Summary

As a member of the level 3 engineering team, you will be the highest technical escalation point, leading Windows Server infrastructure efforts, managing projects across members of various teams, and identifying, designing, and deploying new solutions. This is a highly focused Windows Engineering role and requires someone with deep technical knowledge of Windows Server technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

Supports and maintains our backup environment, including managing backup policies, verifying that backups are occurring correctly, performing restore testing, and validating off-site backup copies. Supports and maintains our disaster recovery solution, including DR documentation, testing, and ensuring core systems remain actively covered under the corporate DR strategy. Maintains inventory, health, and supported versioning of core infrastructure solutions that may not fall directly within the operating system team's umbrella, such as Anti-Malware solutions, File Transfer solutions, MFA/2FA solutions, and others. Supports our Storage Area Network and Network Attached Storage solutions across multiple sites. Assists the Windows team with ongoing Windows Server infrastructure work, including work relating to Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Services, groups policy, system upgrades, patching, and issue troubleshooting. Assist the VMware team with ongoing VMware infrastructure work, including software & hardware updates & upgrades, issue troubleshooting, and VDI maintenance. Identifies automation opportunities and implements accordingly. Builds extensive documentation both for new and existing solutions. Identifies new solutions and/or designs to improve/streamline the environment and/or which provide direct benefits to the business. Job Qualifications

Experience with and proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication 9.x. Experience with and proficiency in VMware Site Recovery Manager 8.x Experience with Trend Micro Deep Security 10, 11, and 12. Experience with Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019. Experience with VMware vSphere 6.0, 6.5, and 6.7. Experience with RSA SecurID or similar 2FA/MFA solutions. Experience with Globalscape EFT or similar Managed File Transfer solutions. Proficiency in PowerShell, PowerCLI, and/or other scripting languages. Experience with Microsoft Windows roles & features, including but not limited to: DNS, Failover Clustering, NPS, DHCP, AD, File & Print, Certificate Services. Experience with the VMware suite of products, including but not limited to: vRealize Operations Manager, vRealize Log Insight, vRealize Lifecycle Manager, VMware NSX, VMware VSAN. Strong troubleshooting skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Project Management skills and proficient in leading meetings. 5 or more years combined supporting Windows Servers and/or VMware infrastructure. Proficiency with core networking concepts and ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Flexibility to work after-hours as needed and to be a part of an on-call rotation.
