The DarkStar Group is seeking a Software Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA. Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company, our benefits, and our $25,000 referral program.
THE PROGRAM
The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community. We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. We've grown on this effort by providing the customer with Engineers who have done exceptional work, and we've retained our staff by paying very strong salaries, and working hard to ensure each Engineer is doing work that aligns with their career interest.
Required Skills
Demonstrated experience leveraging a background in programming, software tools and packages, operating systems, and networking to solve collection needs in multi-cloud environments. Demonstrated experience managing and developing software applications in a multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, etc.). Demonstrated experience with Python. Demonstrated experience with the ability to listen and transcribe from mission need to technical requirements. Demonstrated experience with assessing project requirements and making informed technical recommendations. Demonstrated experience developing and documenting scripts on Linux platforms. Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based databases, including PostgreSQLand MySQL. Demonstrated experience developing PL/SQL database scripts, including procedures, functions, exception handlers, and triggers. Demonstrated experience writing and tuning complex queries against structured and unstructured data sets. Demonstrated experience developing, documenting, and maintaining secure and scalable REST APIs. Demonstrated experience integrating services using messaging technologies, including service buses, publish and subscribe, and MQ. Demonstrated experience working with geo-locational data at both the backend and the application tier. Demonstrated experience developing software in a DevOps environment. Demonstrated experience maintaining Jenkins Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with automated testing and deployment. Demonstrated experience using Git as a source code repository. Demonstrated experience working with ElasticSearch. Demonstrated experience using AWS to include S3, EBS, and EC2. Demonstrated experience in platform and application automated deployment. Demonstrated experience in cloud deployment, DevOps, containerization, web service and API management, and computing optimization. Demonstrated experience in cloud database, storage, virtualization, and network configurations Demonstrated experience implementing DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines to support a multi-tenant environment. Demonstrated experience incorporating automated software quality checks, security scanning, infrastructure-as-code, and other modern DevSecOps tools and practices. Demonstrated experience working within cloud computing environments, Linux and Unix-based operating systems, and using ElasticSearch and Kibana. Demonstrated experience using requirements tracking programs such as JIRA or Confluence. Demonstrated experience maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, and managing software, hardware and networks. Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Demonstrated experience monitoring system performance and troubleshooting. Desired Skills (Optional)
Demonstrated experience working with big data processing and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, ElasticSearch, MapReduce, and HBase. Demonstrated experience with Apache NiFi. Demonstrated experience with the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes. Demonstrated experience managing and mitigating IT security vulnerabilities using Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs). Demonstrated experience applying FISMA security controls. Demonstrated experience documenting and communicating technical and non-technical mission requirements for all audiences.
