The Autopilot Software Programs team is responsible for scoping, prioritizing, tracking, and releasing autonomy features from inception to launch, including over a dozen active safety features, Actually Smart Summon, and Full Self-Driving (Supervised).
As a Technical Program Manager with a focus on software releases, you will update millions of customer cars with new, safety-critical features on tight timelines. You will ensure teams validate their changes punctually, resolve bottlenecks, and communicate risks to relevant stakeholders. You will handle large branch merges and frequent software package signoffs, often more than one at a time. We expect you to be an organized self-starter and problem solver who can jump in to (proactively) resolve inefficiencies in the release process. Responsibilities
Manage the technical software release workflows end-to-end through collaboration with technical leads, component owners, infrastructure support, QA, and external teams Track progress toward release signoff completion Manage branch creation, auto-merging, and change control Handle large branch merges that often require git conflict resolutions and input from multiple engineers across the company Manage risks and resolve issues related to release scope, schedule, and quality Maintain a release log with key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and feature descriptions Ensure ticket hygiene is maintained Implement process improvements to reduce workflow inefficiencies Requirements
Bachelors in a STEM-related field, Computer Science or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience Experience with Git or similar A desire to move fast, fight fires, and fix problems without being asked; ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment with high ambiguity Proven track record of exceptional ability (i.e., have personally solved difficult problems that have moved the needle on meaningful projects) Excellent communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, attention to detail, and organizational skills Experience leading team efforts and/or project management experience Experience with JIRA or similar project management software is a plus Experience releasing customer-facing software at a scale in a fast-paced work environment is a plus Software Branch Management experience is a plus Availability to work weekends when needed Compensation and Benefits Benefits

$96,000 - $234,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
