Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our logistics and supply chain operations. This role includes developing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, managing relationships with vendors and carriers, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, leadership abilities, and a focus on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Oversee daily logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics partners. Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Lead, mentor, and shipping and receiving professionals on a dotted line basis, providing guidance and support. Coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales) to align logistics with company objectives. Develop and manage budgets for logistics operations, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Resolve issues related to shipments, inventory discrepancies, and supplier performance. Prepare and present reports on logistics performance and strategic initiatives to senior management. Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of logistics software and systems (ERP, TMS, WMS).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
