Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of mainframe security risk assessment and remediation experience
5+ years of hands-on Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) experience with at least current and supported version (z/OS 2.1 and above)
5+ years of mainframe security experience using native z/OS and Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) tools.
5+ years of experience issuing Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) commands and performing diagnosis.
5+ years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience
5+ years of TSO (Time Sharing Options) experience.
5+ REXX and CARLa
zSecure tool experience
Advanced Information Security technical skills and understanding of information security practices and policies.
Ability to manage complex issues and develop solutions
What You Will Be Doing
Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Information Security Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Information Security Engineering deliverables.
Review and analyze moderately complex Information Security Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Information Security Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with client personnel in Information Security Engineering.
Develop mainframe security solutions leveraging RACF, REXX, zSecure, CARLa and other tools.
Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security.
Review and correlate security logs.
Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity.
Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
