CNC Machining and Hi-Tech Manufacturing Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Business Development to lead and expand our growth initiatives in the aerospace, defense, and semiconductor sectors. As a Tier 1 OEM provider, we specialize in high-precision CNC machining and cutting-edge manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep industry expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive revenue growth, foster long-term partnerships, and position the company as a leader in advanced manufacturing technologies. Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals, focusing on the aerospace, defense, and semiconductor industries. Identify emerging market opportunities and trends in high-precision CNC machining and advanced manufacturing technologies. Define growth targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive success. Partnerships & Client Acquisition Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, government agencies, and other key stakeholders. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including RFPs, RFQs, and long-term contracts. Negotiate and secure strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborative agreements to enhance the companys market position. Leadership & Collaboration Lead a high-performing business development team, fostering collaboration across sales, engineering, and operations. Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment between business development goals and manufacturing capabilities. Provide mentorship, training, and leadership to develop team members' skills and expertise. Market Intelligence & Brand Positioning Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, competitor strategies, and technological advancements. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to strengthen brand visibility and thought leadership. Collaborate with marketing teams to create impactful campaigns targeting key customer segments. Financial Management Develop and manage the business development budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. Monitor financial performance of business development initiatives, providing regular updates to the executive team. Analyze ROI and implement data-driven improvements to optimize growth strategies. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred). 15+ years of senior leadership experience in business development, with a proven track record in aerospace, defense, or semiconductor manufacturing. Extensive knowledge of CNC machining processes, advanced manufacturing techniques, and industry standards. Skills & Competencies Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Exceptional strategic planning, analytical, and decision-making capabilities. Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills at all organizational levels. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment with complex supply chains and customer requirements. Technical Expertise Familiarity with manufacturing technologies, including 5-axis CNC machining, precision engineering, and quality systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within aerospace and defense sectors. Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems for pipeline management and forecasting. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Revenue growth from new and existing accounts. Number of new partnerships and contracts secured annually. Expansion into new markets or customer segments.
