The HT Group is seeking an experienced
Plant Manager
to oversee daily operations at a flexible packaging facility on an
interim basis (3+ months) . This person will lead production, logistics, maintenance, safety, and compliance teams to achieve optimized machinery performance, lean manufacturing implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Location : Blythewood South Carolina (On-site) Compensation : Dependent on experience
Responsibilities:
Oversee machine maintenance, reduce downtime, and improve equipment performance Implement 5S, Kaizen, and other methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste Provide hands on coaching and mentorship to production staff to improve skills and productivity Enforce safety protocols, ensure adherence to regulations, and conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments Oversee production planning to include scheduling, monitoring KPIs, and address inefficiencies Work closely with Quality Control, Engineering, and Supply Chain on operational initiatives Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering or related field highly preferred 5+ years in production and operations management In depth knowledge of flexible packaging industry and manufacturing process Expertise in lean manufacturing and machine troubleshooting Proven leadership skills and ability to foster team growth Highly proficient in ERP and MES systems Data driven with the ability to analyze metrics to drive improvement
