About the Position

Energy Exemplar is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to lead strategic financial planning, analysis, and reporting initiatives. This role will partner with key stakeholders across the organization to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize business performance.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including coordination with department heads and executive leadership Develop, track, and lead monthly budget discussions with key business and budget stakeholders Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate business performance, ROI analysis, and strategic initiatives Create monthly variance analysis of actual results versus budget/forecast, identifying key drivers and providing actionable insights Partner with business units to analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement Serve as a strategic financial advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making Lead presentations to executive leadership on financial performance, trends, and forecasts Collaborate with department heads to develop business cases for new initiatives and capital investments Partner with accounting team to ensure alignment between management and financial reporting Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and reporting Mentor and develop junior FP&A team members Design and maintain financial dashboards and reporting tools Lead special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a management role Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan, Hyperion, or similar) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and presentation skills Experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes preferred MBA or relevant master's degree CPA or CFA certification Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) Knowledge of NetSuite Experience in a high-growth or dynamic business environment
