TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Washington, Washington DC, 20007 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00); Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 2 years with vents, CPAP, and/or BIPAP as well as Central Line Care; 1 prior travel assignment completed License: Must possess a valid DC license prior to start date; pending license accepted under certain conditions Certifications: BLS, PALS, IV Start Certification preferred Must-Have: - Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity - Flu vaccine (required) - 2 supervisor references Job Description: - Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with a patient ratio of 1:2-3 - Provide care for patients using ventilators, CPAP, and BIPAP - Perform Central Line Care and manage critically ill pediatric patients - Required to float to NICU as needed - Work every other weekend, no on-call requirement - May encounter COVID-19 patients - Complete orientation with 28 hours at 50% non-billable - Modules may be required pre-start and potentially during orientation - Staff must be absent from prior employment with the organization for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler - Complete necessary modules which are billable up to 4 hours; additional hours are non-billable 26354918EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS BLS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Different healthcare facilities may have varying levels of technological advancements.
