Job Brief

We are seeking a self-motivated professional with managerial experience and a proven sales track record, particularly in acquiring and onboarding local to mid-size retail chains onto e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce technology solutions such as Magento and WooCommerce, in addition to retail experience.


Responsibilities

  • Forge relationships with VP/CXO decision-makers across product engineering, manufacturing & automation, operations, and technology organizations within the retail e-commerce sector.
  • Map client organizations, establish strong relationships with local to mid-size retail chains, and onboard them onto e-commerce platforms.
  • Oversee end-to-end lead generation and sales processes, driving revenue and leading digital engagements, with expertise in e-commerce platforms like Magento and WooCommerce.
  • Drive revenue by prioritizing, structuring, and leading digital engagements with a focus on e-commerce technology solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Leadership Team to define and drive the interactive transformation strategy and service offerings in the e-commerce domain.
  • Own and deliver on targets related to revenue, margin, pipeline, receivables, and customer satisfaction within the e-commerce sector.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients, particularly local to mid-size retail chains.
  • Lead negotiations on financial and contract terms, as well as outsourcing discussions related to e-commerce solutions.
  • Manage risks and issues related to the account, including delivery oversight of e-commerce projects.
  • Develop and implement account growth strategies and business plans tailored to the e-commerce industry.
  • Oversee sales, business development, and customer relationship activities, focusing on e-commerce platforms and solutions.
  • Achieve annual revenue and profitability targets in the e-commerce technology sector.
  • Operate within a matrix organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals in the e-commerce domain.

Requirements

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in sales, preferably within the retail or e-commerce sector.
  • Proven track record in sales management, particularly in acquiring and onboarding local to mid-size retail chains onto e-commerce platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and converting new business prospects within the retail e-commerce realm over the past 6 to 7+ years.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce technology platforms / solutions such as Magento and WooCommerce.
  • Ability to map client organizations and develop sales strategies.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with leadership teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities and targets.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Travel: Must be open to travel within the US to client locations if required – all expenses will be paid.
