Profile Summary:

LinQuest corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with AFSIM C++ development experience who possesses innate curiosity, creativity, and an adaptive, problem-solving mindset to join our team supporting an exciting and dynamic effort for the Defense Advance Reasearch Projects Agency (DARPA) on location in Reston, VA. The person will directly support a Behavior Modeling and Development team responsible for implementing the farmwork, plugin, libraries, and applications program interfaces (APIS) for behavior module of a novel DARPA-sponsored compute environment and suite of tools issued to conduct a mission-Level modeling simulation and analysis of (MS&A) of complex, adaptive kill webs.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop novel extensions to the AFSIM environment.

Develop C++ feature enhancements in an existing AFSIM environment.

Develop platform, weapon, system, and behavior models and components.

Develop and execute behavior and model testing, to include development of test plans and scenarios.

Prepare formal documentation of these models and behaviors, as well as of the processes to develop them.

Provide technical direction to junior developer-modelers to execute tasks on schedule and to exercise quality control over model deliverables.

Experience developing ore AFSIM C++ source code or plug in extensions.

Required Skills:

TS/SCI clearance and US Citizenship is required

High Level of proficiency in AFSIM development/modeling/scripting

Proficient with C++ and C#

Strong technical project management skills

Ability to think creatively and function as part of a high preforming team

Ability to coordinate with government and external contractor stakeholders to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify objectives

Ability to lead and mentor a technical team

Excellent communication skills

BA in a related field with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience

Degree must be in Computer Science, Systems Enginee3ring, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics or relat3ed

Experience development AFSIM C++ source code or plug in extensions

Experience implementing simulation models to inform executive decision making

Eligible for SAP access

Preferred Skills:

Understands software/systems engineering principles and can identify data exchange requirements between software modules and or subsystems

Familiarity with one of more mission level modeling and simulation environments such has NGTS, ITASE, etc. In addition to AFSIM proficiency

Knowledge and experience in Joint warfighting capabilities, advance weapons, and current and future operational concepts as we as modeling and simulation of the same

DOD 8570 approved certifications- CompTIA Security or level 1 equivalent

ISC2 Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional or Level 11 equivalent

Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from approximately $155,000 to $185,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
