The
Vice President of Ambulatory Surgery Center Operations
will be responsible for the overall management of our ambulatory surgery centers, owning the profit and loss (P&L) while developing and executing strategies for growth and site development. This role will collaborate with hospital leadership to identify and implement surgical procedures that are optimally suited for the outpatient setting. Responsibilities
Own the P&L for all ambulatory surgery centers, ensuring financial performance meets or exceeds targets through effective cost management and revenue generation strategies. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the growth and expansion of ambulatory surgery centers, including site development, market analysis, and service line enhancement. Ensure the effective and efficient operation of ambulatory surgery centers, maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance. Partner with hospital leadership to identify surgical procedures that can be transitioned to an outpatient setting, maximizing operational efficiencies and improving patient access. Identify opportunities for new services and procedures within ambulatory surgery centers based on market demand, clinical capabilities, and strategic alignment. :
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness, patient satisfaction, and financial performance, implementing corrective actions as needed. :
Lead and develop a high-performing team of clinical and administrative staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure that all ambulatory surgery centers comply with relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in patient care and safety. Build strong relationships with surgeons, physicians, and healthcare providers to promote the ambulatory surgery center's services and encourage referrals. Champion initiatives to enhance the patient experience throughout the surgical process, from pre-operative education to post-operative follow-up.
Qualifications
Education & Experience: Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in ambulatory surgery center operations or related healthcare management. Experience managing P&L responsibilities and driving growth in a healthcare setting. Experience in operational management, process improvement, and strategic planning. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong understanding of outpatient surgical procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry trends. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with data analytics tools and performance measurement frameworks in healthcare. #LI-BB1
