Demand Planning Manager

As Demand Planning Manager, you will lead a newly established demand planning team to focus on building the forward visibility of forecasted sales. You will lead the team in developing and implementing demand planning strategies utilizing Blue Yonder Demand through statistical analysis of sales history and enrichment through close engagement with key business partners – both internal and external.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the demand planning team, providing guidance, training, and support to team members.
Develop and implement demand planning processes and strategies to improve forecast accuracy and inventory management.
Utilize Blue Yonder to analyze demand data, generate forecasts, and identify trends and patterns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure alignment of demand plans with business objectives.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and inventory management.
Identify and address potential demand planning issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in demand planning and supply chain management.
Responsible for supply planning, using statistical analysis models, and Blue Yonder (BY), to determine how the demand will be sourced and to ensure receiving the inventory needed quickly, efficiently, and within budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
7-10 years of experience working in the planning and inventory solutions in a wholesale environment with a high growth wholesaler, required
Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain processes, such as SIOP, MRP, Forecasting, Demand and Supply Planning, Indirect Procurement, Materials Management and Logistics.
Use of various software and computer applications, such as Blue Yonder, JDA, Oracle, SAP, SAS, APO and Microsoft Office programs, required
Strong process/system background and proven ability to rapidly understand, use and drive improvements in new processes/systems. Lean Practitioner
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate him/herself and others; easily accepts constructive input from others.
Effective leader of distributed teams, collaborating in a technology-enabled hybrid model (on-site & remote)
