Inventory & Demand Planning Manager
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Inventory & Demand Planning Manager to lead our Demand Planning Team and oversee our organization's inventory analytics and optimization efforts. This position is pivotal in driving the forecasting process, executing the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, and enhancing collaboration across business units to achieve optimal outcomes. As a key leader, you will also manage processes related to slow-moving and obsolete inventory, SKU introductions, and product lifecycle management. This role calls for deep analytical capabilities and the ability to influence internal stakeholders to align with the company's inventory and demand planning strategies.
Salary:
Dependent on Experience per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the Demand Planning Team and manage day-to-day demand planning and inventory guidance needs. Act as the forecasting process expert, ensuring integration and adherence to best practices in demand forecasting. Facilitate the execution of SIOP for key business segments and enhance interdepartmental collaboration to optimize business outcomes. Drive central inventory analytics and perform optimization tasks to support operational cadence on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Provide oversight for organizational inventory targets; lead critical inventory-related meetings across the business. Distribute essential inventory updates to the Leadership Team and operations sites on a regular basis. Utilize the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for demand forecasting and continuous improvement of the demand planning process. Monitor and report on forecast accuracy KPIs, initiating improvement actions as necessary. Lead content development for the SIOP process and actively manage SIOP meetings to ensure productive cross-functional discussions. Offer analytical support during the demand planning process to maintain consistency and reliability in outputs. Compile executive summaries from SIOP meeting notes for review by the Executive Team. Engage with business units to establish material objectives and realign sales history for better forecasting accuracy. Provide ongoing training to ensure users understand and are able to maximize benefits from the IBP tool. Main individual SIOP and demand planning initiatives as required. Participate in broader supply chain and business operations initiatives as a representative of the Supply Chain department. Minimum Position Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, and/or inventory management roles. Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve problems effectively and make data-driven decisions. Thorough understanding of supply chain processes, including inventory management, demand and supply management, capacity planning, and materials management. Proficiency in SAP with experience using advanced planning and scheduling tools, particularly SAP-IBP. Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders throughout an organization. Previous experience in data analysis and analytical reporting. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration. Certifications in supply chain management such as CPIM or CSCP from APICS. Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a multinational corporation. Expertise in implementing supply chain management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong project management skills and experience. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership capabilities and team management skills. High proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies. Capability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively. Resilience and adaptability in dynamic business environments.
