Associate Attorney - Tampa, FL (Personal Injury)
Salary: $90- $100k Base plus Bonus
Schedule: Hybrid, Monday-Friday

Our client is hiring a Junior Attorney to join their team in Tampa, FL. Our client is a small, boutique, law firm representing clients on insurance claim disputes on coverage, property, premises, automobile, professional, bad faith, and construction liability matters all over the state of Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in personal injury & insurance defense matters with a focus on providing high-quality legal services
  • Manage a caseload from inception to resolution
  • Handle cases of various litigation matters from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and arguments
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions, interrogatories, and other discovery proceedings
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide support during trials and hearings
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of the insurance company in an effort to avoid unnecessary litigation
  • Assist with the preparation of trial exhibits, witness interviews, and trial briefs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, including organizing and managing documents and evidence
  • Attend court hearings, conferences, and other legal proceedings as required
  • Stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents that may impact ongoing cases
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar and in good standing
  • 0-1 year of experience in PI or Insurance Defense
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure, legal research, and writing
  • Proven experience conducting depositions and handling discovery processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
