Salary: $90- $100k Base plus Bonus

Our client is hiring a Junior Attorney to join their team in Tampa, FL. Our client is a small, boutique, law firm representing clients on insurance claim disputes on coverage, property, premises, automobile, professional, bad faith, and construction liability matters all over the state of Florida.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in personal injury & insurance defense matters with a focus on providing high-quality legal services
- Manage a caseload from inception to resolution
- Handle cases of various litigation matters from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and arguments
- Prepare for and conduct depositions, interrogatories, and other discovery proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide support during trials and hearings
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of the insurance company in an effort to avoid unnecessary litigation
- Assist with the preparation of trial exhibits, witness interviews, and trial briefs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, including organizing and managing documents and evidence
- Attend court hearings, conferences, and other legal proceedings as required
- Stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents that may impact ongoing cases
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar and in good standing
- 0-1 year of experience in PI or Insurance Defense
- Strong knowledge of civil procedure, legal research, and writing
- Proven experience conducting depositions and handling discovery processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
