Must-Have: Experience in Level 1 Trauma and Cardiac, TNCC, TCRN
Description:
Under general supervision, this role provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
Essential Responsibilities: - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders. - Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe the physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary. - Administer medication as prescribed. - Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care competently. - Interact with family and patients, sharing care plans while in the hospital and at the time of discharge. - Inform patients and families of hospital procedures. - Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff.
General Responsibilities: - Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills Required: - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. - Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. - Some computer skills.
Education: - Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. - Preferred: Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Nursing.
All necessary licenses and certifications must be maintained and current.
