Job Title: Agronomy Sales and ManagementLocation: Sharon Springs, KS 67758Job Type: Full-time with profit-sharing Overview:We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic professional for the role of Agronomy Sales and Management. This individual will provide expert support and advice to customers on agronomic products, including seeds, fertilizers, Biologicals, and chemicals, with the primary objective of driving sales. Additionally, the role involves training new staff and overseeing their professional development when required. Key Responsibilities:Offer expert advice on seed and fertilizer selection, crop research, and production directly to farmers.Provide guidance on crop husbandry practices and crop rotation strategies.Make informed, agronomic-related decisions to enhance production activities.Develop and implement long-term agronomic plans and practices to align with organizational goals and budgets, ensuring optimal production outcomes.Create and execute regional agronomic marketing plans to support organizational objectives and budgets.Market-specific products and agronomic services (e.g., fertilizers, chemicals, seeds) to clients effectively.Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients by offering professional agronomic advice and services.Organize and coordinate technical and marketing activities, such as field days, farmer meetings, demonstration trials, and trial site visits.Stay updated on industry developments through networking, personal development, and training.Serve as a liaison between the company and farmers to organize trial programs, analyze results, and prepare reports. Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in agronomy, crop science, soil science, biology, or a related field such as horticulture, plant physiology, or environmental science.Alternatively, a degree in agricultural business with a background or minor in an agronomy-related field is acceptable.Strong understanding of agronomic practices, crop production, and agribusiness operations.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and collaborate with team members.Proven ability to analyze data and provide actionable recommendations to optimize crop production.
