Plant Manager As the Plant Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of plant operations to ensure successful and profitable outcomes. You’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage capital improvement projects, and align plant performance with budget and key operational metrics. This role involves fostering a culture of safety and efficiency while leading a team dedicated to high-quality production. Key Responsibilities:

Lead safety committee initiatives and oversee capital project execution to uphold a safe work environment. Manage production scheduling, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time and without errors. Implement and promote operational excellence programs such as 5S and Lean, actively engaging and mentoring shop floor employees. Control costs in key areas including scrap, material usage, overtime, and supplies, ensuring budget alignment. Develop and guide team members, fostering a challenging and supportive environment that retains top talent. Oversee facility maintenance and manage contract services; initiate Capital Expense requests when needed.

Position Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered. Experience:

Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing leadership role with P&L responsibility, budgeting, and, ideally, union environment experience. Background in steel/metal fabrication preferred. Skills:

Strong in budgeting, planning, and Lean methodologies, with a hands-on approach. Safety/OSHA experience required. Technology:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Leadership:

Effective communicator and servant-leader with the ability to motivate, mentor, and drive change on the shop floor.
