We are looking to add an Accounting Manager to our team in Pulaski, Tennessee. In this role, you will be tasked with the management and oversight of closing processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will also be expected to provide guidance on revenue policies, evaluate contracts for complex accounting issues, and maintain compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal policies.


Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the timely and accurate closing process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

• Conduct balance sheet and P & L fluctuation analysis to ensure financial accuracy

• Conduct revenue variance analysis to ensure accuracy of financial statements

• Prepare and provide advice on the documentation of significant, non-routine accounting transactions and events

• Evaluate contracts for complex accounting issues and ensure proper accounting for these transactions

• Oversee balance sheet accounts reconciliations and ensure all reporting deadlines are met

• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed, and supervise assigned staff and roles

• Interface with various department management, including sales, operations, vendor relations, IT, and legal as necessary

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure

• Work with the finance and accounting team to establish annual goals and objectives, and monitor progress

• Support with special projects and workflow process improvements, including identifying and implementing automation where applicable

• Review contracts for accounting treatment and implement necessary processes to comply with contracts

• Apply GTN accounting principles to revenue transactions.

• Must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

• Proficient in revenue recognition principles and practices

• Proven leadership and management skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
