Compensations: College Credit available - This position is non-paid.
Status: Part-time seasonal
Start Date: April 2025 (flexible with academic schedule)
End Date: October 2025 (flexible with academic schedule)
Hours Expected to Work: Hours determined by day to day tasks and gameday vs non-gameday duties
Job Description:
The Sports Field Intern will assist with maintaining field conditions at Truist Stadium. The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, energetic, and can multitask multiple projects at one time. This internship focuses all the components of readying and maintaining all field elements for the Winston-Salem Dash.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Training:
All new hires in the Winston-Salem Grounds/Operations department will be thoroughly trained in all job duties and responsibilities. You will receive training and skills needed to be successful with the Winston-Salem Dash or any other professional team.

Job Description:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the playing surface at Truist Stadium, including but not limited to turf areas, infield dirt, mound and home plate areas, bullpens, and warning track
- All cultural practices such as aeriying, verti-cutting, top dressing, edging, and fertility program
- Irrigation maintenance and repair
- Assist with field tarp and weather-related situations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to work flexible and demanding hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Preferred experience in baseball, but not required
- Good interpersonal skills and able to professionally interact with coaches, players, and team personnel
- Ability to multitask and have strong attention to detail
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50lbs
