Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Process Consultant to serve as the principal line of communication for the project team. The successful candidate will perform in-depth systems process analysis, design, and simulate new processes to enhance operational efficiency. The consultant will also provide strategic guidance on the future use of technology and process improvements while aligning solutions with both current and future program goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed systems process analysis and design to simulate new processes for improved efficiency

• Identify gaps in processes, develop performance measures, and transition to improved practices

• Serve as the technical expert in the program area, providing guidance on technology and process improvements

• Ensure solutions align with both current and future program goals

• Assist in planning and prioritizing business process engineering activities

• Integrate business unit goals with department objectives

• Ensure defined processes are communicated and assist businesses in understanding process flows

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (4+ years)

• Minimum of 7 years in IT, with at least 4 years in process engineering and 2 years in project management

• Certification in Process Improvement Methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen, including Green Belt or Black Belt certification

• Strong skills in business process mapping, identifying bottlenecks, and analyzing inefficiencies

• Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN software (Bizagi, ARIS)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities

• Proven leadership and motivational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to the corrections industry (e.g., HIPAA, CJIS)

• Experience in designing processes that comply with industry-specific standards
