Quality Engineer

West Troy, a division of Integral Manufacturing, a leading contract manufacturer of metal and plastic components, is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide quality control and assurance throughout all phases of development and production processes beginning with raw materials and ending with the final product. Duties Include: · Candidate will assist in resolving customer quality issues and will be responsible for the Corrective Action process and PPAP and visit customers as necessary · Perform internal audits in-house and at sister plant to monitor and improve Quality Management System (QMS). · Maintain and update quality database, including QMS documentation. · Create, review and approve Procedures and participate in part router setups. · Create Control Plans for Source inspection. Oversight of rework and sort efforts internally and externally. ```{=html} ``` - Track and report monthly quality metrics ```{=html} ``` - Lead Corrective Action activities, as needed. Perform follow-up and closures ```{=html} ``` - Periodically visit customers to discuss quality issues as needed. ```{=html} ``` - Review Inspection Reports and assist on non-conforming material disposition. ```{=html} ``` - Work with APQP team to ensure routers are completed prior to Production Release ```{=html} ``` - Manage calibrated equipment and work with outside vendors on equipment calibration ```{=html} ``` - Manage and post internal Quality Metrics · Other duties, as necessary Qualifications include: · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail · Comprehensive understanding of measurement systems and gauge use · Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected · Strong verbal and written communication skills · High level of understanding of laboratory and workplace safety. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports · Familiarity with manufacturing Process Flow, Corrective Action Process, and Problem-Solving Methodologies (5-Why, 8D, Fishbone, etc.), and GD&T. · Quality Experience with Automotive company preferred · Familiarity with ISO:9001-2015 · Understanding corrective actions, root cause analysis, and the ability to present the information to customers, as needed. · Ability to identify and address customer issues with data and supporting documentation · Sufficient with PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, CPK analysis, and PPAP EOE Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Education: Bachelor's (Required) Experience: Quality Control: 5 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Troy, OH (Required)
