Serpa Packaging Solutions is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to join our team! As the Electrical Assembly Technician, you will use a will perform assembly, maintenance and troubleshooting of high-quality industrial machinery in a manufacturing facility. The Technician will be required to have a hands-on approach to performing job duties, have effective oral and written communication skills, able to meet deadlines, and complete work accurately. Travel opportunities may be available.

Requirements:

Reading electrical schematics using electrical tools, such as a volt meter, soldiering iron, and/or an amp meter.

  • Read assembly drawings, electrical schematics (one-line irons), layout drawings and bills of material.
  • Pulling wire, terminating, bending conduit, wiring motors and electrical maintenance.
  • Align, fit, assemble, connect, and install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and to ensure proper operation.
  • May perform some basic mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Industrial Control Panel building and terminating.
  • Follow and maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Adhere to company quality and rework standards and expectations.
  • Understand and meet company quality standards and objectives to fulfill customers’ needs.
  • Support approved quality and process improvement procedures.
  • Communicate recommendations to modify processes to improve quality & productivity.
  • Carry out other duties as needed.
Desired Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of electrical experience
  • High School/GED Diploma required; related Associate’s Degree/Certification preferred
  • Experience with PLCs and Electrical theory and work desired
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Blueprint and electrical schematic reading capabilities
  • Must be able to: follow verbal and written instruction, comply with company policy and safety protocol, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped spaces
  • Reliability and punctuality are required

Hourly range: $20.00 – 28.00
