Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DIVSION (N3) of JB PEARL HARBOR HICKAM SEC DET. A post allowance amount, (otherwise known as: COLA), of 8.90% will be added to the stated salary. Post allowance is subject to change at any time. Responsibilities You will investigate security violations or compromises to determine cause factors and prevent recurrence. You will identify individual employee training needs to make, schedule, or plan future training and development. You will adjudicate the release or disclosure of Classified Military Information and Controlled Unclassified Information to foreign governments and international organizations. You will brief and debrief personnel on security awareness for personnel seeking authorization or authorized to the facility. You will analyze organizational processes to improve program effectiveness. You will compose reports to deliver security program guidance throughout an organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Professional knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of program management, business administration and public administration and expert knowledge of the Navy Force Protection programs to effectively and efficiently manage security program operations; 2) Comprehensive knowledge of DoD and Navy regulations, instructions and policies pertaining to Force Protection and skill in applying various analysis methods and techniques to review and interpret updated or new policy/guidance and determine its' potential impacts on the Security Program; 3) Practical knowledge of DoD and Navy structures (to include matrix organizations) and long-range planning principles, resource planning, and budgeting principles to develop security operations program and budget data, including short- and long-term resource requirements.; 4) Professional skill applying various verbal and written communication methods and techniques to coordinate program planning and implementation with various stakeholders; inform leadership of program issues; provide advice and recommendations on program implementation; and interface with tenant commands, higher headquarters and other agencies.
