Summary You will serve as the Resident-in-Charge of the FLTCYBER/NAVSPACE/C10F Security Office at Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lakes, independently managing all aspects of the remotely located (RTC Great Lakes) liaison office functions including all security specialist functions, office logistics, budgeting, scheduling and timekeeping. This position is located in Great Lakes, Illinois. Responsibilities As the Resident in Charge, you will make determinations to approve the sponsorships for applicants for duty with Fleet Cyber Command and CT/IT/IS billeted locations throughout the world, after a careful and meticulous review of the interview report. You will be designated as the Regional Security Representative to the FCC Security Director for the purposes of conducting inquiries regarding matters of interest to FCC Security in the Midwest/Great Lakes regions. You will coordinate personnel security investigation (PSI) problems and considerations with the appropriate civil and military agencies. You will closely coordinate with RTC Great Lakes leadership to ensure RTC instructors articulating the specifics of when recruits need to be made available to the FCC Great Lakes Security Office. You will have weekly dialogue with Navy, Recruiting Command to ensure recruiters across the nation are providing accurate information to recruits aspiring to be part of the CT/IT/IS community regarding disclosing applicable suitability information. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Supervising a team of senior and junior interviewers evaluating and reporting the results of security screening interviews on personnel of interests in accordance with organizational standards; 2) Conducting program oversight reviews to determine the effectiveness of the personnel security interview program; 3) Developing and implementing procedures and programs to determine the loyalty and suitability of persons nominated for access to TS and/or SCI, and assuring standard application of Executive Order (EO), National, DoD and DoN regulations/governance; 4) Reviewing, analyzing, and resolving highly difficult and complex personnel security issues involving overlapping and conflicting requirements and agreements with other agencies for security resources and responsibility sharing.
