Correspondence Manager

to join our team in the

Washington, D.C. Navy Yard. Job Summary: The Correspondence Manager will support the Nimitz and Ford Class Aircraft senior Management, and manage outgoing correspondence for the Aircraft Carrier Engineering Team, at the Naval Sea Systems Command. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee the Aircraft Engineering Team correspondence processes Maintain paper and electronic files Assist with the development of award packages for personnel awards Assist Office Manager with seating and computer assets; seating charts, and organizational chart Assist with the gathering of inputs and produce bi-weekly highlights reports and Newsletter, track corporate metrics and produce reports, track data and develop other reports as directed Assist with requests for Navy & Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and Naval nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI) computer accounts Assist with the support of Carrier Engineering Team off-sites and social events Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university

and

3+ years of experience with correspondence and records management ,

OR,

achieved the rank of Petty Officer Second Class (E-5) or higher with experience as a Yeoman or in Personnel Specialist fields , OR,

High school diploma or equivalent

with

10+ years of experience with correspondence and records management, in lieu of degree. Very good written and communication skills Experience with Microsoft 365 application suite Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Navy, Coast Guard, or Merchant Marine Prior active-duty Experience working with or at a shipyard, Naval Surface/Undersea Warfare Center, Supervisor of Shipbuilding Command, Regional Maintenance Center, and/or Type Commander supporting construction, operation, maintenance, modernization, and/or repair of machinery control systems Experience working with ship program offices in an administrative role Experience with control of classified and UNNIP documents and data Experience working with Navy managers (GS-15/CAPT/SES) Clearance Requirements: Must possess an active or current Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
