About the role
We’re hiring a frontend engineer to join us onsite in San Francisco. You’ll build delightful user interfaces to solve massive problem for our customers. Since we’re building a new category of software, you’ll bring to life entirely new design patterns (not just another to-do list). An easy-to-use UI is an important and differentiated value prop of our product —our customers are accustomed to dated Windows-only desktop apps. As an early employee, you’ll also contribute heavily to building the company’s team and culture.

You might be a good fit if you have/are
4+ years of experience as a frontend software engineer
A strong desire to directly understand customer problems and design solutions for them
Attention to detail for implementing pixel-perfect designs
Knowledge of best practices on component libraries, state management, data fetching, or CSS
Ability to anticipate UI edge cases and implement intuitive handling
Experience breaking down and prioritizing ambiguous projects
Familiarity or interest in Typescript, React, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, or Apollo Client
Not required: insurance knowledge – we promise, you’ll pick up the necessary pieces fast!
Our team & philosophy
Comulate was founded by Jordan Katz (CEO) and Michael Mattheakis (CTO) in 2022. Comulate is backed by Spark Capital (Natalie Sandman) and dozens of well-known founders/executives from Brex, Asana, Plaid, Applied Intuition, Coalition, and others below. Our team hails from companies like Airbnb, Box, AWS, LiveRamp, among others.
Despite our strong performance and substantial investor interest, we don't plan to continue raising capital. With Series B level revenues, best-in-class-metrics, and profitable operations, we’re fortunate to able to instead pursue outsized-employee ownership, instead. Comulate is tracking to have a higher share of our company owned by employees vs. outside investors.
We're also fairly low-profile: we don't seek TechCrunch coverage or validation from peers; we instead focus that energy on delivering for customers and building a strong business and category-defining company.
Lastly, we’re hiring predominantly in San Francisco we believe in-person collaboration is strategically important for a company at our stage — both for velocity and company culture.
